This is a place to remember that though we may be having a rough day, week, or even a year – we should not give up because I truly believe there is a great big beautiful tomorrow out there for us! This site was created to empower, equip and encourage women of faith in our walk with Jesus. It is here to draw us closer to the God who loves us so dearly. And let’s be real ~ we may struggle with our weight, our finances or our relationships – but the good news is that we are walking in Grace. And we can walk together in sisterhood. Isn’t that amazing! This is a place to be real and know that there is no shame, no condemnation and no judgement. This is a place of love and kindness and redemption.
My Journey
I hope to share with you my journey to discover how God has continually given me grace as I learn who I am. I believe that who we are is not based on how much we weigh, how much we may be in debt, our job status or our relationship status. Our identity is woven by our belief in Christ and who he called us to be. At a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, we will focus on transforming who we are through community and our relationships through the lens of God’s Word, Love and Grace.
What We Believe
I don’t have all the answers. I’m not an expert in this, but I have a hunger to draw closer to Jesus and who God says I am. I hope that my journey will inspire you. I hope that we will develop a friendship together. May we grow in our understanding of who we are.

Yes, we’ve got some work to do on our lifestyle choices! Hello Home Goods shopping spree and debt! The truth is we are seeking God and his design for our lives. We can build community as we journey to freedom. Freedom from the labels the world tells us we are and security in the power of what God says about us.

Let Me Introduce Myself
I want to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Lori and I am single, have debt, and working on losing weight and that is not my IDENTITY! The truth of who I am comes from what God says about me.
I’ve come a long way over the last few years. I’ve lost over 100 pounds, gained 50 back, have started to budget and I’m working on building deep meaningful relationships with friends. I live in Northern Virginia and dream of moving to central Florida in a few years. I’m a bit addicted to Disney (okay a LOT)! As a matter of fact, the name of my blog and company, A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow is inspired by the ride A Carousel of Progress at Walt Disney World and the truth that we are assured A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow when we believe – Romans tells us …”if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” It doesn’t mean things on the earth won’t be tough – but it does mean that if we believe God’s word – then our future is written. We know the end of the story.
